Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Thrivn mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Thrivn is developed and operated by Roberto Benavides (sole proprietor). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Thrivn.

2. Description of Service

Thrivn is a personal finance management application that helps you track spending, manage budgets, set savings goals, and monitor debt payoff. The App offers the ability to connect your bank accounts via Plaid to automatically sync transactions and balances.

Thrivn is a financial tracking tool only. It does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or banking services. You should consult a qualified financial advisor for personalized financial guidance.

3. User Accounts

  • You must sign in using Sign in with Apple to create an account.
  • Each person may maintain only one account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
  • You agree to provide accurate information during the onboarding process.

4. Plaid Integration

Thrivn uses Plaid Inc. ("Plaid") to connect your bank accounts. When you connect a bank account, you will be directed to Plaid's secure interface (Plaid Link) to authorize access.

By using Plaid through Thrivn, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Plaid is a third-party service and your use of Plaid is subject to Plaid's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Your bank login credentials are provided directly to Plaid. Thrivn does not access, collect, or store your bank login credentials.
  • Thrivn is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of data provided by Plaid or your financial institution.
  • You can disconnect your bank accounts at any time through the App.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when using the App
  • Keep your device and Apple ID credentials secure
  • Use the App only for personal, non-commercial financial tracking
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
  • Not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and content, is owned by Thrivn and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Thrivn may offer premium features via in-app subscriptions managed through the Apple App Store. By purchasing a subscription:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Financial data displayed will be accurate or up-to-date at all times
  • The App will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Thrivn and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings > Delete Account). Upon deletion, all of your data will be permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that is harmful to other users or the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you through the App or via email.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
